This privacy statement describes the policies and procedures Veridis Technologies B.V. (hereafter: Veridis, we, our) has on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use our website. Veridis is an ambitious startup that wants to make the world a better place by tackling climate change and environmental pollution. The company was founded in 2020 by an enthusiastic team of young physicists and entrepreneurs with the ambition to develop new high-impact technologies that create a better future for humanity.

2.1. What information do we collect?

We obtain personal information about you if you choose to provide it. For example: to contact mailboxes or to register for certain services. When you submit your personal information to Veridis, we will use it in the manner outlined in this Privacy Statement. Your personal information will not be used for any other purpose unless you give us your permission or when it’s required by law.

We may process the following (types of) personal information when you visit our website:
• Name
• Email address
• IP address
• Information on your surfing and viewing behavior and possibly your location and other cookie information.

2.2. On what legal grounds do we have to use your personal information?

Privacy legislation, including the GDPR, allows us to process personal information as long as we have a ground under the law to do so. This legislation also requires us to tell you what those grounds are. This means we may only use your personal data under the following ground(s):

Your consent: in most cases, we will ask you for your specific consent to process some of your personal information. When signing up for the Newsletter we use the personal information only for sending the Newsletter. When signing up to receive the One-Pager we only use the personal information for sending the One-Pager. 

2.3. Automatic collection of personal information

In some instances, our website uses cookies, web beacons and other technologies to automatically collect certain types of information when you visit us online, as well as through emails that we may exchange.

• we cease to send the relevant Mailings;
• it appears your email-address is no longer in use.

Veridis has reasonable security policies and procedures in place to protect personal information from misuse. Despite our best efforts, security cannot be guaranteed against all threats. Access to your personal information is limited to those who need to know. In addition, those individuals who have access to the data are required to maintain the confidentiality of such information.

Veridis may need to modify this Privacy Statement from time to time. The most recent version of this Privacy Statement is available on our website. When we make changes, we will revise the “updated” date at the top of the page. In case of important changes, we will actively inform you of these changes.
